ELEVEN times.

You all know how I received the Bender Ball yesterday. Well, someone who I guess is a company representative from Clearwater, Florida, has called me ELEVEN TIMES since Monday to make sure I’m satisfied with it.

The first time he called was on Monday, at 11:58 AM. I didn’t answer it because I’m a coward and I don’t answer numbers I don’t recognize. He called me again at 2:02 pm and again at 4:00 PM. THEN, he called me AGAIN at 5:57 and YET AGAIN at 7:53. AND THEN AGAIN AT 8:59 PM. That brings us to a total of six times on Monday. Obviously, I didn’t answer any of them BECAUSE WHO WANTS TO SPEAK TO ME THAT BADLY? I’M NOT THAT COOL. On Tuesday, he called me at 9:56 am. And then, when he called at 7:36 pm, I gave in and answered because I realized it could be John Stewart calling to ask me to run away with him. He (the representative, obviously not John Stewart) was very kind, however I couldn’t understand how after I ignored his first seven calls he still thought it was worth it to keep calling. And since the cell reception is dodgy on the 18th floor, we were disconnected after chatting for only 44 seconds. Evidently, we have “unfinished business” because HE CALLED ME THREE MORE TIMES TODAY.

So. Eleven times. We’ve passed persistence, people. This is absurd. Who honestly cares THAT much about how satisfied I am with an ab workout product? If it were me, I’d call the person twice and then give up out of laziness. I find it really hard to believe this kind of follow through is typical for all HR people at Bender Ball HQ. This is terrible. What are the chances he’ll stop calling without me having to actually get on the phone with him and say I happen to love the Bender Ball? None I’d say. Yeah. He’ll probably call eleven more times. Good thing we’re having Thai food for lunch tomorrow at work.
